# Anjali was born in Rajolu, Andhra Pradesh, India in a Telugu speaking family. Though she appears in several south Indian languages her majority of movies are in Tamil.
# Anjali has two brothers.
# She did her schooling in Andhra Pradesh and her higher education was done in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
# She has a bachelors degree in Mathematics.
# She started her career as a model and short films actress. She did few local ads before entering films as an actress.
# She made her acting debut with telugu film “Photo” in 2006 alongside newcomers Anand & Bhanu. The movie went unnoticed at the box office. Her next venture “Premalekha Raasa” in 2007 was a commercial failure.
# Anjali gained stardom after her blockbuster hit tamil film “Kattradhu Thamizh” in 2007 alongside Jiiva and Karunas. She won “Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut” and “Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress” for her performance in the film.
# She later entered other south Indian films with her Kannada debut “Honganasu” in 2008 and Malayalam debut “Payyans” in 2011.
# Her favorite actor is Bollywood king Amitabh Bachchan and favorite actress is Sridevi.
