# Akshaye Khanna was born on 28th March 1975 in Mumbai, India to Vinod Khanna, Bollywood actor and Geetanjali. He younger brother Rahul Khanna is also an actor.
# Akshaye’s parents got divorce in 1985 and his father married Kavita in 1990. Akshaye was brought up by his mother Geetanjali. His father Vinod Khanna became disciple of Osho in 1975 and started to live in Rajneeshpuram for 4 years working as gardener.
# His step mother is Kavita and he has two step-siblings Sakshi and Shraddha.
# He took acting seriously and decided to take it as career. After his studies he joined “Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute” in Mumbai.
# His Bollywood acting debut was through “Himalay Putra” in 1997. Though the movie failed to achieve commercial success his performance was appreciated by film critics. His initial successful movies were Border, Taal and Dil Chahta Hai. His biggest turning point in his film career was in 2001 with Dil Chahta Hai and he won “Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor” in 2002 for his performance in the film alongside Aaamir Khan.
# He has good friends in the industry include Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif etc.

The actor akshay khanna a very talented actor ,who has not been given the deserving position in hindi film industry .He is the one actor i would say all kind of his acting faces shown especislly in Gandhi My Father. Doli Saja Ke rakhna and Aa ab laut chalen were both flops according to commercial criteria, but both had relevant messages, former about kids realising the importance of parental consent in marriage and the latter about avoiding american craze and compromising on every Indian value. My favourite Akshaye movies are: Gandhi, My Father, Dil Chahtha Hain, Humraaz, Hungama, Hulchul, Border, LOC, Race, Salaam-e-ishq and Aap ki Khatir. I like his movies even if they dont work at the BO just to watch his expressions/emotions.
