*   Christian Bale was born on 30th Jan 1974 in Haverfordwest, Wales, UK to David Bale,an entrepreneur and Jenny Bale,a circus performer.

*   Christian Bale had an opportunity of travelling around the world during his childhood days, he was brought up in England, Portugal & USA.

*   He started his career as a model for fabric softener Lenor when he was just 8 years old. He made his film debut with “Anastasia” in 1986, his first blockbuster was Empire of the Sun in 1987 which earned him widespread fame.

*   Bale was asked to gain much weight for his role in Batman Begins. With the help of strict diet and personal trainer Bale increased his weight from 130 lbs to 230 lbs within span of six months as suggested by his film director.

*   Bale married Sandra, a former model on 29th Jan 2000 and they have a daughter, Emmeline, born on 27th Mar 2005.

*   Bale is a strong supporter of Greenpeace and World Wildlife Fund.
