* Yash was born on 8th January in Mysore, Karnataka, India in Vokkaliga community in Karnataka.
* His father is an employee in “Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation”. His mother is a house wife.
* Yash has a younger sister.
* Yash’s birth name is Naveen Kumar Gowda, he preferred to use Yash as his screen name. He is also called as the “Rocking star” by his fans.
* He attended “Mahajana High School” in Mysore.
* Since his school days he developed passion for dance. He used to represent his school and college in dance competitions. He even won state level awards for his dance performance.
* Even before appearing in Tv serials he worked for Plays like Jokumaaswamy, Sabarana Kathe, Kattale Belaku etc. But never took play as his career.
* He started his career as an actor in TV shows. So far he worked in four Tv Serials namely Nanda Gokula, MaleBillu, Uttarayana and Preethi Illada Mele. After gaining much popularity from TV shows he moved to film industry.
* In 2007 Yash made his film debut with “Jambada Hudugi” but the movie was a box office failure.
* His first blockbuster hit was “Moggina Manasu” alongside Radhika Pandit and Shubha Poonja in 2008. He received several offers after that movie and established himself as a leading actor in Kannada film industry.
* His subsequent films “Rajadhani” alongside Prakash Rai in 2011, “Kallara Santhe” alongside Haripriya and Rangayana Raghu, “Kirataka” alongside Oviya Helen and Tara , did very well at box office.
