# Rakshita is the daughter of Kannada actress Mamtha Rao and Cinematographer B.C.Gourishankar. Unfortunately her father couldn’t see his daughter’s success due to his untimely demise.
# She started her career with a Kannada blackbuster movie “Appu” with Puneeth Rajkumar as the co-star.
# She did the same role in telugu remake of “Appu” which was renamed as “Idiot” with Ravi Teja as co-star, the movie was also a big hit establishing her in telugu cinema industry also.

# In later days she did some ITEM songs entertaining her fans. In fact she was one among the BOMB heroines in Kannada industry.
