#  Lakshmi Rai was born on 5th May 1989 in Bangalore, Karnataka but she was raised in Belgaum. She is also fondly called as Lachu, Krishna and Laxy.

#  Her father is a businessman and mother is a housewife. She is the youngest of three daughters, her elder sisters are Reshma and Ashwini.

#  She is one among the tallest actresses in the film industry, she stands at 5’9″!!

#  She started her career as a model and later got opportunities to work in films. Before films she worked for several TV ads including Josco Jewellers, Sylcon Footwears, Emmanuel Silks etc.

#  She won ‘Miss Belgaum’ title two years in a row 2003 & 2004.

#  Before entering the films she took professional training in Mumbai for six months to improve her acting skills.

#  Her acting debut was with tamil movie “Karka Kasadara” in 2005 but the movie failed in box office. Her initial movies were series of flops but after 2008 her movies started to do well commercially. Her initial blockbuster hits include Annan Thambi, 2 Harihar Nagar, Evidam Swargamanu, Chattambinadu etc. Her Tamil movie “Mankatha” alongside Ajith Kumar and Trisha was a huge hit completing 100 days.

#  She won “Stylish Star of South Indian Cinema – Female” at South Indian International Movie Awards in 2012.
