Biography / trivia
# Meera Vasudevan was born on 29th Jan 1982 Mumbai, India to Vasudevan & Hemalatha. She was born in Tamil brahmin family.
# She has a degree Psychology & English literature.
# She fluently speaks English, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
# Before entering the film industry she worked as a model and did few TV commercials including ‘Om Cricketaya Namaha’ ad during Cricket World Cup- 2002 series.
# She endorsed many brands like Fair &Lovely, Kenstar, Knorr soup, Reliance R-World, Coke, surf excel, Pilsbury etc.
# Her acting debut was with Bollywood film “Rules” alongside Milind Soman and Tanuja in 2003. But her Telugu debut film “Golmaal” was released prior to Bollywood film “Rules”.
# In 2003 itself she made her Tamil film debut with “Unnai Saranadainthen” alongside Venkat Prabhu and S. P. B. Charan. Her performance was appreciated by film critics and she won “Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress” for her role.
# She is currently working in several languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam films.
# She dated Vishal before marrying him in 2005. But the couple broke up in 2010 due irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in July 2010 by a Family Court in Chennai. She didn’t seek any maintenance in her divorce petition. Later in 2012 she married her long time friend, actor John Kokken.
