Prithviraj Sukumaran biography facts

#  Prithviraj’s birth name is Prithviraj Sukumaran. He was born on 16th Oct 1982 in Thiruvananthapuram, India to Sukumaran, well known Malayalam actor and Mallika Sukumaran, television actress.

#  Actor Indrajith Sukumaran is his elder brother, his sister in law Poornima Indrajith is also an actress.

#  He did his schooling at “St. Mary’s Central School” Poojappura, “Sainik School” Kazhakoottam and “Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan” Thiruvananthapuram. During his school days he was interested in plays, skits and performed on annual day celebrations. He used to participate in debate competitions. He studied Information Technology in Australia.

#  While Prithviraj was in Australia pursuing his studies he was contacted by director Ranjith for a lead role for “Nandanam” in 2002. He accepted the offer and made his film debut in 2002 with “Nandanam”. He later worked for major hits like Violence, Swapnakoodu, Akale, Classmates etc.

#  He did his Tamil film debut with “Kana Kandaen” in 2005 alongside Srikanth and Gopika. His Telugu debut was with “Police Police” in 2010 alongside Srikanth and Kamalini Mukherjee. After gaining prominance in south Indian movies he entered Bollywood films with “Aiyaa” opposite Rani Mukerji in 2012.

#  Prithviraj married Supriya on 25th April 2011 at Palakkad. Supriya Menon was working as a BBC India Reporter.
