# Before starting his career in the film industry, he worked as a bus conductor for the Bangalore MetropolitanTransport Corporation in Bangalore.
# He joined the Madras Film institute in 1973 with the help of his friend Raj Bahadur and completed a basic course in acting.
# His friend Raj Bahadur [ bus driver] encouraged him to pursue his dream. The actor had to resign from his job from KSRTC, and Bahadur helped help him in many ways.
