#  Riteish Deshmukh’s birth name is Sanjay Deshmukh. She was born on 17th Dec 1978 in Mumbai, India to ex-Chief Minister of Maharastra, late Vilasrao Deshmukh and Vaishali Deshmukh.

#  Riteish studied architecture at “Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies”. After completion of his degree he went to abroad to practice as an architect. He returned to India after one year and established his own architectural & interior designing firm “Evolutions”.

#  Deshmukh made his Bollywood acting debut with “Tujhe Meri Kasam” in 2003 alongside Genelia D’Souza. The film failed at the box office but his performance was appreciated by the film critics and audiences.

#  His next few movies didn’t go upto the expectations. His first commercial hit movie was comic thriller “Masti” in 2004 alongside Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi. The movie was a huge box office hit and it earned him nomination for “Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor“. His initial hits were Masti, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Bluffmaster!, Heyy Babyy etc

#  Deshmukh started to date his debut film “Tujhe Meri Kasam” co-star Genelia D’Souza in 2003 and they made headlines together for being in serious love affair for nearly eight years. Deshmukh married Genelia on 3rd Feb 2012 according to Marathi marriage traditions and later they got married in church too.
