Sameera Reddy biography facts
# Sameera Reddy was born on 14th Dec 1982 in Rajamundry, India to Chintapoli Reddy,a businessman and Nakshatra Reddy, microbiologist.
# Sameera has two elder sisters Meghna Reddy, model and Sushma Reddy, actress. She claims herself to be “the calm one” and “most diplomatic” in the family.
# She attended “ombay Scottish School” and “Sydenham College” in Mumbai.
# Before entering the film industry she worked in music video “Aur Aahista” in 1996. It was the first stepping stone for her film career and after that she was offered the lead role in “Maine Dil Tujhko Diya” directed by Sohail Khan in 2002.
# After doing few films in Bollywood she shifted her attention to other languages also. Her telugu debut was with “Narasimhudu” opposite Jr. NTR but the movie failed in the box office. Later she made her debut in Bengali film “Ami, Yasin Ar Amar Madhubala” in 2007. She did her Tamil film debut in 2008 with “Varanam Aayiram” alongside Suriya and Simran Bagga which went on to be the biggest hit of the year. She later entered Malayalam and Kannada films also.
# Sameera is a great fan of Oprah Winfrey, she met Oprah in a welcome party in India and presented her a saree.
# Very few people know that she weighed 105 kilos when she was 19 years old and it took two years for her to lose weight.
# During her school days she used to stammer and look lot of efforts to come out of it.
