# Silambarasan was born on 3rd Feb 1983 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to Vijaya T. Rajendar,a film director and Usha Rajendar, an actress.
# His birth name is Thesingu Rajendar Silambarasan and he is credited shortly as Silambarasan. He is fondly called as Simbu,STR ,Young Superstar by his fans.
# Simbu has a brother, Kuralarasan & a sister, Ilakkiya, both are his younger siblings.
# He attended “Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School”, “St.John’s International Residential School” & “Santhome Higher Secondary school” in Chennai.
# Even from his school days he had passion acting and dancing, he used to choreograph dances in his school events.
# Silambarasan made his acting debut as a child artist appearing in his father’s films, he acted in almost 19 films as a child artist.
# Simbu made his acting debut as an adult with “Kadhal Azhivathillai” in 2002 opposite Charmy Kaur, directed by his father.
