# While shooting for “Pokiri” he undergone a minor operation due to irritation and swelling in his eyes. Suddenly he was hospitalised and operated. He recovered after couple of weeks of rest.
# One of his fan committed suicide as he couldn’t get ticket for the fist day show of blockbuster “Thiruppachi”.Vijay went to his house and consoled his parents. Later he requested his fans to refrain from such activities.
# The actor on his birthday presented free books and notebooks for 50 thousand poor students. On his birthday he prefers social service to celebrations in star hotels.
# He entered the Tamil film industry as a child artist.
# The actor made his tamil film debut with “Naalaya Theerpu” in 1992 which was flop.

I am a great fan of yours and i have nearly watched all films of yours, if you go to lots of tamil shops in london mainly in my local area you would recognise that a girl under the age of 8 always come and ask aboutr the latest movie and magazine, obviously its me. Everyone recognise as a little girl asking for Vijay mama’s things. After couple of years i have moved houses where there wasn’t any asian faces, i totally forget about the have indian industries and the kollywood. I enjoyed watching Hollywood movies. As soon as i moved to the place where there was once more many indian faces, i started watching kollywood movies and i started to adore you movies, i forgot that i was a fan of yours before because in the meen gap i was actually a fan of James Bond. Then my parents told me about my past life when i was a fan of yours and showed everything i have gathered. I was very amazed and kept being one of urs in my bedroom there are vijay’s wallpaper. i don’t if this would get to vijay but i got a message to tell him that i would donate £1 million for his charity.
